The staff takes pride in teaching students to respect and care for the planet. Earth Day provides the perfect opportunity to focus on that motto and those teachable moments that children and their parents will rememberAt All About Kids, Earth Day is a week-long celebration. Each day presents a new activity such as designing an indoor terrarium, reading “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss, making an Earth Day collage, and eating “dirt pudding.” This past Earth Day, the staff celebrated by giving each child a white pine seedling. The seedlings came with instructions on how to plant and care for them. The children were very excited to head home and find a safe spot to plant their baby trees. The act of planting the tree provides excellent bonding time for families as well as a tree that the whole family can watch grow.

Teachers are committed to providing “green” activities each month along with their regular activities. Ensuring that children learn to care for the world, teachers enjoy creating educational activities that make learning about “being green” fun.
