According to same article, “in comparative tables of the annual gathering of research data by recording the current nest surpassed after 27 years the largest reported number of nests (84 nests in 1986) in the Mοunda most important nesting beach in Kefalonia.
Equally important is that the recorded marked turtles (42) this year by far exceeded the corresponding number (36) of the year 1986, while the turnout for spawning continues.
The large influx of sea turtles to nest in Mοunda early May where  recorded the first nest of the year (19-05-2013) associated with the favorable weather conditions that generally prevail on the shores reproduction of Caretta caretta sea areas of the Ionian.”

The Group also runs an Environment and Culture Centre that displays environmental information, which is used for holding meetings, presentations as well as evening classes. The Group has experience in developing and running: 1, presentation programs and festivals, in order to raise public awareness; 2, education programs and projects (for both children and adults) and 3, developing and undertaking scientific research projects.
