Green Tourism Week 2012 Green Tourism Week 2012 is on of the top tourism events and will take place the week of 21- 25 May in Edinburgh. The event is organized by the GTBS, Green Tourism Business Scheme, recognizing the achieves accomplished by industry participants during the last 12 months over the 2,400 members from UK and Ireland.

The ceremony of Green Tourism Week 2012 awards will take place on Friday 25th May in Edinburgh.

GTBS,Green Tourism Business Scheme has over 2,400 members throughout UK and Ireland, is the only certification program in UK, supported by VisitEngland, VistiScotland VisitWales.

  1. A spectacular event by the UK government which has been promoting the idea of green practices for years now! I have seen it happen and have felt their genuine enthusiasm! Congratulations to all those who are environmentally conscious!

  2. Green Tourism Week was organised by Green Tourism Business Scheme which is a private not-for-profit organisation that recives no government funding. The programme is run by a small and dedicated team led by the founders of the GTBS – Jon Proctor and Andrea Nicholas who have expanded the GTBS to the whole of the UK and Ireand over the past 15 years and have been use as experts for sustainable tourism develoments in New Zealand, Canada and Sweden
