Haydao Art 

Haydao Art, the art of making useless seeds from fruits and nuts of filigree art.Instead of sending in the trash the large seed inside a peach, apricot, mango, avocado or other fruit–the Song Dynasty (960-1279) in China, could turn this “trash” can into stunning works of art. During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) this art called Haydao art, was the most popular form of art. The most senior person in the state wore similar decorations.  

Masters haydao first thoroughly treated seeds, then drew a drawing, or rather, a plan that followed while working on a sculpture. The shape and structure of each seed is unique and over the time, skilled improvisers became masters haydao who, sometimes, refused to do drawings and schemes in favor of “free art”. Sculptures from fruit pits,haydao art.
