Karnataka Ecotourism is a new project. To promote the tourism potential of Belagavi (Belgaum) district of Karnataka, India the ministry of tourism has sanctioned a project ‘Eco-Tourism Resort in Khanapur Forest area’ at a cost of Rs 4.40 to the state government of Karnataka.
Karnataka already owns and operates Jungle Lodges and Resorts, an eco-tourism and wildlife tourism initiative.JLR has won many accolades and even offers consultancy to other states for promoting eco-tourism. Spread over Karnataka, Jungle Lodges & Resorts, operates 15 resorts where accommodations vary from tents to rooms to independent cottages.
Karnataka Ecotourism is a promise of a growing ecotourim area in India.
