The Greenest Museum located in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco California. Is an 2.5 acre space into the hills of the park and it isn’t a typical museum. The California Academy of Sciences build the greenest museum of the world in an eco friendly way. The walls are mostly made by glass, giving visitors the ability from the first floor to see almost the entire museums space
Renzo Piano, the Italian architect builds the museum to fit in the natural space of the park. The Green roof is full of native plants, hosting also the energy solar panels.
The Italian architect Piano of the greenest museum sees the academy’s green roof as one of the many places in the building where his design brings scientists together with the public. “We have 20 million species and we have scientists still working, exploring the Earth, and at the same time you have young people, children, and curious people coming to wonder about nature,”
The California Academy of Sciences is working on three areas, display education and research and is investigating on how did life evolve on Earth, and how it will survive.
According to California Academy statistics the greenest museum ” is meant to encourage people to take care of the Earth”.
