University of Greenwich awarded greenest UK University among 145 participating universities in 2012 People and Planet Green League. First Class degrees also succeeded by 46 Universities.
University of Greenwich awarded greenest UK University followed by University of Plymouth, University of Brighton, University of Gloucestershire, and  Nottingham Trent University.

According to People and Planet article, (University of Greenwich named UK’s ‘greenest university ever’), it seems that nationally there is a  huge progress in all key indicators measuring universities ‘transition’ to a low-carbon, sustainable future including:
 

Sector-wide carbon emissions down 4% on last year
    Double the number of universities integrating sustainability across their curricula
    86% rise in universities employing at least 1 sustainability staff member
    On average universities are sourcing 72% of their electricity from renewable compared to 63% last year
